Blues beat Penguins in OT, extend win streak to 11

The Blues extended their win streak to 11 on Thursday with a 5-4 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins in overtime. With the win, St. Louis moved up to 91 points on the season and broke a tie with the Minnesota Wild for the first wild-card spot in the west.
Robert Thomas was the overtime hero for the Blues, scoring on the power play in the extra frame. The Blues got two goals from Jake Neighbors in the win as well as markers from Pavel Buchnevich and Jordan Kyrou. But it wasn’t all good news, as breakout star Dylan Holloway left the game after the first period with a lower-body injury.
The 11 wins ties the franchise record for the longest win streak with the 2018-19 season, when the Blues won their only Stanley Cup.
The Blues will next put their win streak on the line on Saturday when they host a division rival in the Colorado Avalanche.
