Man in 20s arrested in connection with stabbing near village pub

Thames Valley Police say a 23-year-old man was arrested today (Wednesday, December 18) on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

He remains in custody at this time.

The arrest is in connection with an incident near to the Bay Tree public house in Grove at just before 5pm on Sunday (December 15).

The alleged victim, a man aged in his late teens, suffered a minor injury to his back and was treated in hospital.

He has since been discharged.

On Monday (December 16) morning locals said a scene-watch was in place in the alleyway leading from the pub to Millbrook Primary School and Grove Library car park.
